Awakened heroes from the world get news that the true gates of hell have opened up, meaning these heroes can go in and destroy the source of the ravaging demons that have plagued the world of earth for a long time, finally putting an end to them. With many powerful awakened humans, the entire world fully believe the heroes will easily eradicate them, so they send them off gladly with gifts and such.

But..

One thing leads to another, some of the awakened heroes are locked inside of hell; The only way to get out is to destroy hell itself, and kill the seven demon kings who rule over hell.They have to find ways to get stronger, and defeat demons and dark beings, survive, and escape. But here’s the catch: They’re all prisoners who are captive in a prison camp inside of hell, and each day, they have to participle in death games all for the enjoyment of the demon kings and everyone else.

Our MC, Jyun, is an 18 year old male who gains a system, a system that continuously makes him more powerful as he levels up and completes multiple choice tasks that the system pops up in his face. (He finds it annoying at times). His entire persona is that he is basically the side character, one who doesn’t fit in with the hero who is portrayed as the hero by everyone else, Jyun is at the battle of the food chain. As he finds way to get stronger and as he completes system quests and tasks, and works with the other captives, things aren’t as they seem, more powerful demon deities arrive, the stakes continue to rise as the days pass, and Jyun’s morales are rather challenged greatly as he try’s to develop and grow from his dark past.

Warning : This book is dark, brutal, and contains nonstop action scenes. Also involves character struggles, fleshed out character arcs, maybe romance, a complex plot, fleshed out villains, and more. It’s called “Souls-Like” because of the main character’s ability to level up and do certain things to gain XP, skill points, and unlock abilities that’ll make him overpowered, like any souls-like game.
