Threat after threat, question after question: Why is this happening? Why is that? How could you? Why should you? They always ask and say the same thing, but you want the raw truth, the unspoken answer, the straightforward line. Then hear it for what it is.


Imagine your entire existence being afflicted by tragedy, despised by everyone, loved and recognized only by the strange, and even those who care for you do it out of pity. Nobody wants you, loves you, cares about you, or comes to see you. But it's okay, you still have them, no!! Mom and Dad died, yet I survived, strived, and moved ahead with my life.


Times are hard, you look for work, you meet new people, but the same thing happens again; my existence brings tragedy to others; like all others, I am allowed to love but at the cost of that love dying someday right in front of your very eyes; I am a beacon of misfortune, a horrific and sadistic coincidence; I convince myself, adhere to that lie, that everything that happens was a coincidence, until one day, the truth dawned on me.


Nay!! It came before me: when people isolate themselves out of fear of themselves, the collective misery has nowhere to go, and hatred and loneliness reflect back tenfold on me. But when I succumb to the tragedy of that night, with blood smeared on creaking floorboards and my entrails hanging on the wall like a sinister ornament.


It was then that I realized all I knew was a lie; the gods we worshiped, as well as the gods my family worshiped, were the source of my sorrow, our sorrow; what they did to me, no!! To us, produced and exacerbated so much anguish that there was no more to feel.


Reborn in the filth, the serpent that upsets the balance. I completely abandoned everything and embraced the dark path, and the gods will pay for every generation of suffering they caused our family.
