Once they were unlocked, his memories began to overwhelm hers but at the same time, she started to freak out since his were stronger. That is why he was in control for a bit, but then Aveline came out. That was Chibiline being created. Though Aveline doesnt know anything yet.

Pretty much, cause Niall was never actually Niall anymore. He IS Aveline. But when the memories finally unlocked, she wasnt ready and needed to protect her mind. Thus they "separated" her memories between two personalities.
