So I have been wondering this for a while. What is Authority? Why does it seem to be more important than willpower and how does one develop their authority? Is it like a muscle that you can train or do you need to do something specific like a specific action to increase/develop it?

I like the second option because Spike from Cowboy Bebop had a very epic ending, but if he's going to be a troll like Zeldrich, then no. Messing with the badguy by trolling them to death sounds fun, but unnecessary when it gives them more time to make others miserable. Giving Vahn the confidence of Gilgamesh sounds even worse unless you have him look back on his actions regularly to make sure this is what he wants and he isn't doing something that past Vahn would look down upon. Then the confidence thing would just loop back to his old habits of overanalyzing. So maybe something like the confidence of Samus Aran from Metroid that she commits to a goal and sticks with it. That goal being up to you.

This is very confusing. I know that the scroll in the record of Danmachi was able to trick Vahn because it essentially asked Vahn for a copy of himself to go off of. But what is happening now if it isn't an illusion? Also, how would someone trap him in it?

Though there were still fifteen or so hours remaining until his battle with Hon, Vahn was keeping a close eye on the developments taking place on the 100th Floor. He wasn't particularly worried that they might develop a strategy capable of defeating him, but, retaining the lessons of Tsubaki, Loki, Eva, and Scathatch, Vahn knew it was never wise to underestimate his opponents. People, especially those who were desperate, were capable of virtually anything. He had even seen a relatively normal person shatter a god-like being's teeth with a single punch, so, at the very least, he wanted to make sure his adversaries weren't conspiring against the exploration group in a desperate attempt to gain leverage against him.

Great chapter as always. While I can understand the need for giving Vahn's girls their personal space, I don't think Vahn can give much more without causing even more problems for himself and his harem in the future. Vahn needs to be a bit more self centered and choose the option best for him. The third option is out because it causes him the most stress and emotional pain. The first could work for the girls that don't hold as much of a place in his heart but only a few. The second is what I pick because he can keep his emotional support girls by his side. Maybe bring a girl who is a bit more domineering and have her put down some boundaries when Vahn starts going overboard. That or have sis put her foot down.

Because there are fanfics about going against the original story and creating one that shows growth of the character and the growth that occurs of the people from the characters choices. This isn't one. And now that I know that, I can leave this story to find one that is to my liking.
