I’ve seen some comments on pacing for the first chapter. I can see what they’re saying but it’s not much of an issue to it. As long as you stay consistent to it and it has something in chapter two to kick things up a gear (I’ll read chapter 2 soon).

Heads up you called both beast types here special grades.

They didn't evolve, dumb. they are created out of our negative emotions, the dark energy that was leaked during the sealing of the demons turns our negative emotions into beasts. the beasts also possess our bloodline ability, even evolving it an making it way stronger than ours. on rare occassions, two negative emotions create one beast, such beast will possess two bloodline abilities and they are known as special grades. When three negative emtions form a single beast, the beast will possess three bloodline abilities and is known as special grade.

Easily changing the subject, Alistar didn't give Sylvia a chance to reply before he began walking. Knowing that she would keep pestering him until she got answers, Alistar began thinking of what to tell her.

Sadly it comes out a little creepy. Might be because of the wording on the descriptive depth of it. If it’s a reoccurring joke for the two test some things so it doesn’t come across as weird/creepy.

You deny your MC privileges it’s purpose. lol

That's right, he deemed all Ascenders as unlucky individuals. Having power is fun and all but when it comes with responsibilities it becomes a chore. Considering the responsibility that came with becoming an Ascender, Alistar would rather lose his family name than become one.
