It was different when she was younger. She treated him no differently than anyone else. But as she got older, and he began to develop feelings for her, began treating her differently and she began treating him differently as well. If he had a secondary goal, it would be to gain Ari's acknowledgment once more. For her to show him her actual smile and not the polite one, she showed everyone else. For her to crack jokes and laugh around him as she did as a child.

Saxon shook his head at this statement. "This proposal will bring more harm than good. Who says we are powerful enough to challenge the wilderness ourselves? And us charging into the wilderness will have the opposite effect. The other powers will see that we have an advantage, that we are ahead of them and in a bid to catch up. They will storm the wilderness with no fear of consequences. These member states' greatest fear is falling so far behind us and the Devos Family in strength that they lose speaking rights at the table and become puppet states. If they have no deterrent, what's stopping us from taking their provinces for ourselves or say, "do as I say or I will kill you?" them teaming up against us is their only trump card. If the strength gap widens and this is no longer an option, they will become desperate."

Alexi gulped and wiped a bead of sweat that formed on his brow. "I... I suggest we move first, launch an invasion, set up our outpost, and return to Henosis with a report of our findings. If the energy beasts and whatever else is out there is as powerful as we fear. When the others see what they are up against, they will think twice about setting foot in the wilderness without adequate strength."

Stormy wasn't an inappropriate name for a young man such as himself, so Ari took it upon herself to name him Alexi Von Creig.

"It's been almost ten years since you've developed and distributed the breathing techniques and other mana manipulation methods. During this time, it has found its way to every corner of the continent and is solely responsible for the increased strength of Henosis. Even with this, have we not bought enough goodwill from the Henosis member states? Are their greed so strong that they will disregard even this?" Gin spoke in disbelief.

"Next item, we made a decision as to how we will colonize the wilderness. Through the black plains owned by Dan Avon and the Great Divide owned by us as the Endless Tundra is impassible for an entire army to traverse. The other powers, including the Devos Province, will gain access to the wilderness by marching their armies through our province. There is the issue of their territory being split between large swaths of land, making it impossible to be managed by a single person."

Xasha continued, "many discoveries were made in the last three years and were all shared with the member states. Including this Time Fruit discovered 2 years ago in the Lou War Province. Now that it's available, I bought quite a stockpile and even got a few seedlings that I've already passed to Verra. In a few years, we will have a time tree forest and the problem of our younger generation being stuck at the beginning of puberty for hundreds of years can be alleviated." He chuckled, remembering what happed with Xeik. "A few radical guys also came up with an interesting magic device. It performs calculations at unbelievable speeds. Its speed and efficiency impressed me. I bought a few. Maybe our guys can gain a bit of inspiration from it."

"Why the Sky Habitat? Did something happen?" A concerned frown formed on Xasha's brow.

"Miss Ari is as beautiful today as she is every day. I hope you don't me saying." To Lili's dismay, he actually handled that situation well. She turned around displeased and went back to her pastry.

Alexi glanced at the smiling Ari but retracted his gaze shortly after, almost as if frightened. His actions went unnoticed only by Lili, who was preoccupied with the pastries brought from the Culinary God Guild in the East Bay Province by the Endless Ocean.

"I'm fine Tower Lili, and of course I brought something back for my princess." Xasha took something from his void ring and handed it to her. It was a box tied with a blue ribbon. She grabbed the box from her father's palm and bolted across the room to Saxon's desk, not bothering about her mother and grandmother.

Saxon's face lit up, "I missed you too hu- hey what are you-" while he was distracted Xara had already snatched the document from his hand and was inspecting it after locking the panicking Saxon in a box made of compressed mana.

Cheers rang out as the people of stardust came to welcome their City Lord and Patriarch who had been away for several months. Xasha was flanked by Megan and Xara, who all had relaxed smiles on their face as they went to greet the crowd. Their strike teams stood behind them in formation.

The sky opened up and a massive airship came through. Elaborate mansions came into view as the airship touched down. There was a small forest with rivers, hills, valleys and baby energy beasts running around the mansions. This was no doubt a flying city.

"All of you who lasted one day or more inside the lava world passed the first assessment. Those who haven't failed. Try again next year." After saying that, he turned around, intending to return to his seat.
