If I was him I’d start with orihime with her healing abilities yoruichi speed attacker Rukia could use ice as massive headache for enemies as for the forth rangiku her ash zanpaktou would be useful yeah I didn’t really feel like searching for correct spelling of the names. However I’m enjoying the story keep it up.

In general, ichigo would rather try to save the world. The fact that he is trying to simply save loved ones is good for the story but distorts his character.
