Synopsis
In the Albionic Empire, a Guard is a confidant with whom you can trust your deepest secrets, with whom you can feel secure and safe with, who defies all odds to complete a mission set out for them. To be a Guard, is to be part of a wider family, and secure a bond that can never be broken. In the extended nobility of Albion, political intrigue, backstabbing and all out war is not uncommon, and at the forefront of it all, is the Guard.
William Pendleton is such a Guard, though self admittedly, he is not a good one. In contrast, Sewell Carter, his closest friend and ally, is the epitome of it's values. When all goes awry, however, William finds himself embroiled in a fierce internal conflict that threatens to destroy his ties, love, and the Empire itself.
