Hey man, all good. Not every story is for everyone, and that's just fine. I'm aware of how jarring the initial relationship for Suzumi and Grayson is, and it's something that I'll likely fix in an edited version of the story at some point. I've been told by many that they believe that Urahara is acting out of character, either to angry, cruel, or anything in between, and I have to agree. Mostly because it isn't my intention for him to be the same character as he was back in the show. Also, Yoruichi isn't present. Sending her to scout is only one way that Urahara is capable of collecting information, and the way he did it here was due to a deduction similar to 'keep your friends close, but your enemies closer'. There are reasons for Urahara being the way he is, and they have seemed to satisfy people so far. As for Grayson being a wimp? I don't think so, and I can't see why you'd think so either. Because he cried? Because he shows emotions beyond a stoic, psychopathic guise or just pure anger and teenage angst? Yes, Grayson cries, because suddenly having your entire world ripped from underneath you is scary, and being forced to question yourself and who and what you are is difficult. I can't, in good conscience, be told that Grayson is a wimp, when only yesterday I was told that he was 'too OP'. Maybe it's simply all a matter of perspective. Either way, I hope you return to Ribbon at some point, and if you don't that's fine. There's always another story out there, waiting for you to read it!

We must go back!

As soon as we began the fight, I realised—once again—how difficult it was to adjust to actually having sight. Sight was great but worked to your great detriment when each attack threw up a flurry of dirt and stone—making my little monkey brain focus on the falling detritus. As soon as I'd gotten my limited sight back, my brain had decided to take everything I saw as gospel, even if what I was looking at was nonsense to my other senses.

Grayson is still capable of seeing outlines! He can see the display stands that are in the room without issue, but anything beyond the shape is lost on him.

Before long we had arrived at what I presumed to be Urahara's Sweets. As I got out of the car, I looked to see a strangely shaped building, much in what I imagine was a more traditional Japanese style, rather than the modern stone block buildings that surrounded it—a sharp contrast with the regular surrounding buildings. I was led towards a set of doors that slid open sideways, and into a storefront filled with two rows of product.

War plays heavily on the mind. However, he may soon return to be who he once was, in due time. :))

"Unaware? Unaware of holding a soul this powerful? Even Kurosaki manifested his powers in ways, and he had nowhere near as powerful a soul as just a kid!" Urahara's voice reverberated through my very bones, making my body shudder with the effort to simply resist falling apart to it.
