The best way to describe this novel for me would be, a more bloody, gory and dark version of konosuba. The main character reincarnates in the body of the current guild leader of Invictus, a member of the Medusa race, and with some fragmented memories of his new body. And he has only a system ( with no personality or system store with stupid quests, thank God) to inform him of the names of the people around him, and there status and hostility level. And apparently it can analyse and copy the skills and abilities of other people and creatures...? I love the character design of this novel, the characters in this novel feel more 'alive', the enemies aren't evil for the sake of being evil, they each have there own personalities, with there own motivations, ambitions and dreams. There are however some problems, for example, the lack of explanation of how the power system works, how magic works, the difference between the races in this world, etc... Like, it's fine if everything isn't explained to the last detail. But at least having a more detailed explanation about the race of the main character, the Medusa race, and about is strength, like, sometimes he looks super powerful and other times weak, tho he looks more like an assassin for the most part, maybe that's why. One thing in this novel is the, sometimes, excessive pov change, like, you can pass 5 or more chapters following the other characters going throught aventures and life or death battles, finding love, etc... . And you start wondering if the main character started hibernating or something. Don't get me wrong, the pov changes aren't bad and are very good even. It's just they are to God damn long, and when one ends, another starts. And that can be very frustrating, especially when you what to know the background and abilities of the main character. All in all, it's a great story. :-)

A wonderful tale of a bastard in charge of a guild of cut throat mercenaries, any one of which in polite society would be strung up and beaten with a stick. From comical misha** of a cowardly warrior forcefully conscripted to a plushie loving one eyed berserker woman, from a towering crude titanblood to a happy go lucky eldritch horror associating warlock, from a wonderfully lewd demonic woman to a horse wanted for murder. There's no end to original characters who are funnier, crazier and down right entertaining from their first introductions to their exits stage right. Read this book if you want anti heroes, scheming bastards, an MC who is a male medusa and an author who brings all these inglorious bastards to life with seeming ease and no end of flare!

Now that I have caught up with the story and have been following it religiously since, I got something else to say: This is the only webnovel I deem worthy of support from the entire lot(I hope to find more, but the amount of garbage makes it nigh impossible). Even compared to actuall fantasy books that take years to write(from writers like Joe Abercrombie, Brandon Sanderson, R.A. Salvatore... you get the point) this is almost on the same playing field. However, you cant compare a novella written on a daily basis without much review with the biggest fantasy writers of the 21st century. It would be unfair and stupid, and yet this work is relentlessly grasping at the feet of such giants and the quality reflects that. As I keep reading, the story only keeps getting better, the characters more interesting, and the worldbuilding more believable. Even with all the pop-culture and meta refferences, this work keeps surprising. It easily brings you from ceasless bellowing laughter, to a serious atmosphere and it even throws freshly cut onions at your face(definitely not crying, ots the onion). Can't give the writer enough praise, and while marginally subjective, my opinion allows me to rate this webnovel 11/10. **: This is my second review and I don't care if its illegal to post more than one.

I've read 14 chapters, idk where mc stands or how strong he or his people really is, I've learned almost nothing besides his comrades and a bad baron, show and not telling us epic and author does that great, but at the same time he isn't really showing us anything to be truly interested in the story, it's been kinda boring and anticlimactic, other than that the characters are all unique and dimensional, the writing although missing words in sentences rarely, is phenomenal

Genuinely love everything about the story except the fact that everyone stays apart from each other from like 250-622 which is where i am now. Can someone tell me when at least dragan, wroe and tycon get back together?

best writing quality i have found on this app. love the characters love the world. The fact that this isn't in the top 10 every week is proof that democracy is a flawed system.

This story is wonderful! If you love TRPGs you should get a kick out of this. Just try to leave your preconceptions of a fantasy world behind. Some common stereotypes fit, while many are lacking. The author does a wonderful job of world building, and an even better job of balancing humor and cold violence. the only part of this i even thought about not giving full marks too is writing quality, and only because there were a few minor typos through out. After thinking more I decided that there is only so much perfection you can expect from a novel published on a daily basis with no editor. All in all a perfect web novel and one I am willing to spend all my coin on. Death to the enemies of Invictus!

one of the best novels on here. smart MC, strong but not Over powered, ruthless when need, but still care for close friends people. he's got a system, but it does not rule the story just added on something on top. plus he's a snake 🐍 do I need to say more? best hidden gem novel on this site must read

Absolutely hilarious. It starts out a bit confusing, at least for me, but all of the conversations and events make it impossible not to laugh. Very dark and a bit gory at times, but definitely worth the read.

i love this novel,great humour,great side characters and a nice cold blooded and sophisticated mc. i do have some questions i hope can be answered it appears mc has the ability to copy peoples powers(or even his own like 'vexing gaze')but cannot use it freely it seems? some conditions need to be met. i can understand in terms of others ability but why impose such restrictions on his own i wonder. what is the mc's class and power level mc does not take any active measures to increase his strength. does it increase passively or does it increase based on the strength of guild invictus? i love the overall story its a great joy to find a protagonist who does not fall to the usual chiche though i do hope that in future chapters author would shed light on the world and its power systems in detail. what happened to the previous tycon? did he die? sigh. i would be most thankful if my queries are answered, thank you.

Wonderful story with wonderful characters. I enjoy flipping through web novels and never really stay on one for too long. This is the story I always come back to whenever I need a really good read.

Excelent novel! Grammar is superb, plot is interesting humor is out of this world! Main character is unique and carries personality unlike most novels on this app. The MC’s team isnt useless and there’s an individual charm around each of them. Did I mention that there’s also a healthy dose of dark humor? All in all, i recommend you give this a read, you won’t be disappointed. Some individuals have been complaining about the complexity of the novel— of it being confusing, but I beg to differ. Excluding the first chapter which i found nauseating due to a large number of character names being introduced, the rest of the parts were all straight forward. If you aren’t interested yet, let me remind you: the main character is a literal SNEK! Cheers and happy reading, fellow daoists!

Maybe someone will like it, but I did not appreciate the book. After reading the synopsis, I expected to see a book with serious characters and a story, but in the end I got a collection of not the most interesting jokes. Indeed, the synopsis talks about humor, but I did not expect such a presentation, where every f***ng sentence is a joke.

If you like a rude and arrogant protagonist, this book is for you. There's no hero here, only a selfish narcissist handsome prick, who's too serious and leaves nothing to chance, that's tycon for you. Very through and professional. You'll love the other characters too

I have not been up to date with this novel in months because I have of how school and among other things have taken up my time so I am glad I am going to experience this journey again when I have the time. As another reviewer claimed and I agree this novel is on the battlefield with greats such as Brandon Sanderson and among many others. As a fairly early reader, of this novel I absolutely loved and the author answered my questions time and time again which lead to the love of my novel increasing and the comedy in this novel is top-notch. I always look forward to a chapter a day and it kept me entertained. I am not sure if this convinced you or not to read this even if there is a lot to catch up on. I implore you to still read this. Also, the Author thank you for your amazing work and I hope to read this in the coming months to follow the journey of Sol Invictus as a Cultivator.

The story is a bit vague but interesting. how didn't they notice that he was acting weird and didn't recognize most of them in their group.

Should have written this a long time ago, I find this story simply outstanding, the way the author leads you through it all with.. personally, just the right amount of comedy, action, heartache and every other emotional box ticker is flawless. I've never read a story where you are genuinely uncertain on who is going to make it out alive of whatever situation any of the main characters find themselves in, no-one's safe, it just gives it a sense of realism (in a fantasy world I know, I know) Despite what some people see as a negative, jumping from any of the main characters at the start of a new chapter and following their story for a short while just keeps you intrigued and refreshed, as there is undoubtedly new characters they meet across the way, always feeling some attachment to them as the author never fails to give said characters sufficient enough of a backstory and depth along the way to feel something for them, and I've lost count how many times I've chuckled or just broke in to outright laughter, I tip my hat to you author, I pray to the Eternal Flame that you keep it up, hooked! 👏👏👌

A surprisingly lovely novel, in a genre that I'm tired of reading. The MC is resurrected(No one should be surprised by now) as a SNEK, and has to lead his Guild to glory. The grammar is on point, and I barely saw any mistakes, and with that sweet medieval accent, you'll get hooked to it. All of the characters are fleshed out decently(Except for Wroe, but that's cause he creeps me out) and you'll start to spent more and more of your time(And fast passes & power stones) on it. My note to author: Keep up the good work, sir. Don't let the haters dismay you.🤘

very deep story and character development, fast plot progress, good english. not really anything to complain about.one of my favorite storys on this app so far.

Everyone should read this book, the character are literally alive (based on real people), they have clear personalities and fun interactions, like a more serious version of konosuba, also the argument aint just centered in the mc Tycon, it features also other characters to keep the argument interesting and the story moving.

Really nice characters, cool locations, great fights, and some really nice interactions. The stiry is great, and this is a novel ill be keeping track of for a while
