I noticed that this novel began to be read by more people, so I suppose a shameless review from your favorite author should be necessary to give you a brief introduction about this novel! The MC is reincarnated as a ice dragon after dying in avalanche and getting wishes out of his last desires, kind of like a certain Slime out there! In this novel you will see him survive, discover his powers and also the amazing norse mythology-inspired world of Yggdrasil! I can promise you that you will not get a stupid mc, this one will be toughtful with his actions if possible, but that doesnt mean that there wont be a lot of monsters and even evil cultivators that desire to use him as cultivation materials in the future! But things wont end on this, as this world is undergoing a mass reincarnation of otherworldly souls by a mysterious entity! Each reincarnator will be filled with cheats, bringing chaos everywhere! Will our MC be able to fight against these insane freaks?! Well, go read to find out! 🐉❄

A pretty good story with good writing quality and the setting is also interesting. There is a system BUT thankfully there are no leveling up and exp things. it just shows him his stats and explains about them, that's it. The major turn off for most people would be that the book is mostly in first person, so some people might not like it. There are also some 4th wall breaks in MCs monologues due to this being from the first person POV. Though not too annoying for me, preceed with caution if this ruins a book for u. The MCs personality is like Rimuru from that time I got reincarnated as a slime(the setting is pertty similar here) but he's more realistic and less optimistic about everything, and he's also brutal with his fights, actually embodying a dragon and not just a human stuck on a dragon's body. It's just at the right place, not too kind and optimitic but not too edgy and dark. He is not too smart, but not to the point of idiotic MCs, tbh it just depends on your own perspective of if you find his decisions smart or stupid. In conclution, it's a good book. Not a trendsetting masterpiece but a good one to read and have a pleasant time. Also there are a few minor typos here and there, not too bad tho. Enjoy if this is to your taste

First of all I really like the novel especially the interaction between the characters in the novel. One thing I didn't like is the constantly changing POV among the reincarnated peeps. And what I also didn't like is that there are many cringey talks between mc and other characters and I am not really a fan of cringey stuffs but since the novel is good I let it pass. Hopefully tho the cringey scenes would be reduced but I really enjoyed the character development. Well done author for making this masterpiece just as expected from your other novels 😆

I this story a lot and then I discovered more from this author and everything is interconnected into its own multiverse so now I want to read it all not 100% sure on the chronological order but it’ been fun to read so far.

I'm writing this review at chapter 861. So clearly I'm very invested in the story. I'm a big fan of all of PancakesWitch's works actually. Many of her stories feature cultivation that mixes with systems as the basis for the power progression of it's characters in a variety of ways. But this story features the cultivation as the central method of gaining strength with the system being secondary. And the world is obviously a somewhat more traditional cultivation world with sects and whatnot. And like most cultivation stories, this story is quite slow. In fact, I would say this is the slowest paced story that Pancakeswitch has written. And that will be a turn off for some people. It did turn me away from the series at first for a while until I eventually gave it another shot. But I kept with it because it still has that Pancakeswitch charm. Satisfying progression, and fun mixing of disparate genres! I'd recommend this one as long as you have at least a reasonable level of patience and the slice of life stuff doesn't bother you. Because it happens a little too much in my opinion.

this is my absolute favorite book 100/10 the characters and story are so well made and the potential of the characters just keeps growing. overall great read

I've read 415 chapters so far and the story, world building, and power scaling are top notch. This piece of writing is amazing. My one problem is I thought the title of this webnovel was "Epic of Ice Dragon" but it seems like he's an ice giant the whole time. I was reading this novel for a unique main character that was a dragon, but now I'm a bit dissapointed. I just hope in future chapters you can add him in his dragon form more often. Other than that, great novel.

The novel is great and everything but I was kinda disappointed he didn’t went through being a full on ice dragon and went a different route but still being a ice dragon but yet Again I’m only a few hundred chapters In and he might go back to being a full on ice dragon. Novel is great though. 👍
