Gen wasn't living a perfect life. Hardly anyone is. She was living a pretty satisfactory one, though. She could have done without the knowledge of what comes after it. More explicitly, she could have done without the god ruling that afterlife. She didn't want any part in his business, and he wasn't particularly fond of the idea of any still-living human being a part of it either. It's against the rules. It's against their morals. It will only cause trouble. And yet neither of them was given a choice. Genesis and Aides are connected in some way, and it is up to them to break that connection. Or savour it.
