The Dark God King Ingolsol – ruler of all the Dark Gods. A thousand years ago, he was banished to their realm of darkness. He attempted to claim the role of King of the Gods for himself. He knew himself to be more powerful than all of them, Dark Gods and Light Gods combined. He reached for it, but with all the Light Gods allied together, they managed to stop him, and dispel him to the realm of darkness. They tore from him his true title, and gave him the name ‘Dark God of Despair’. Now, after a thousand years, he makes his presence felt again. Finally, he finds a Vessel that can contain his might - a slave by the name of Beam. A young boy with a slaughtered family. Where others perished at the slightest touch from Ingolsol, Beam endured. He quietly works to free himself from slavery, and enters into the village of Solgrim. “Somethings missing…” Ingolsol growls. Beam, Ingolsol’s only incarnation endures him, but he does not prosper. “A Vessel of mine should be no slave. A Vessel of mine has the power to destroy whole empires. Not a King of a country, nor an Emperor of a continent. My power, held in mortal hands, ought to rule the world.” But Beam is unable to access Ingolsol’s power. Not until, one day, his efforts bear fruit. He breaks through to the Second Boundary, and the Goddess of Progress Claudia – Ingolsol’s nemesis - is forced to acknowledge him. She blesses him with her Fragment, despite knowing the consequences, and inside a single Vessel, there reside the two warring Fragments of two opposite Gods. “Rule,” Ingolsol laughs, seeing Claudia’s mistake. He sees the doors opening, and Beam sees it as well. Progress comes, and there is nothing to stop it. Bit by bit, Beam unlocks the powers of the Godly Fragments inside of him, and the gifts are endless. Ingolsol’s power to puppet enemies with fear. To make even monsters flee. The gift is merely the tip of the iceberg, and one of the very first weapons Beam receives on his road to the crown, and it comes not even a moment too soon. The continent is at war. This is an era of conquerors. More bloody even than the Sengoku period of feudal Japan. Great men sprout up out of the ashes, and the impossible is achieved again and again. The most powerful foes feel the shifting changes, and all of them vie for the crown, warring and battling along their way. This is a Time of Tigers – and this is Beam’s road towards the crown.

It'll be a mix of both genres.4° The overall pace will be fast, by my standards, though not rushed.
