Hello, I love this story, and seeing I had a book review assignment for my freshman class, I decided to write a review on this. I also decided it was also fitting to put my review here seeing as I already wrote one. So, here it is: (Please don't mind my writing skills, still an Hschool student.)
The first work of the author, Arkinslize, The Oracle Paths is a fantastic apocalyptic science fiction story. Currently, at 295 chapters, The Oracle Paths has a diverse cast of characters and world-building the likes of which I have yet to see before. World building may be an understatement considering the story is based around multiple universes. The main character of the tale, Jake is an average man who works at a VR retail shop in the year 2106. Orphaned at a young age, Jake goes about his days with repetitiveness until something drastically changes.
The story has just the right pace and slows down a bit here and there for the sake of constructing the giant universe. The novel rarely lingers on plot points to the point of excruciation like many novels tend to do. The character building is quite intense and connects you to the characters in many different ways. I have loved some characters and hated some, but I can appreciate the way Arkinslize has built them, all the same. Each character is intricately built to fit each character archetype. A character, Tim, for example, is a frail child that I thought on multiple occasions would be removed considering the apocalypse genre, yet he has found his own way to stay that doesn’t seem like plot armor, which is rare. Another character seemed an ally at first but with the ‘cruel’ actions they committed, the main character showed his moral boundaries which helped with the character progression of the ‘ally’ and the MC.
Many people on the site that I read this on complained about the pace of the novel. While I can admit that pace can be slower than many novels of the same type, you have to realize that in exchange for a somewhat slower pace, the world-building is better than any form of media I’ve ever seen. I feel connected to not only the characters but the entire world itself, this novel does better than any giving you ways to visualize the story as it goes on. This unique novel is a construction of science fiction, wuxia/xianxia, and system story types. The unique construction of these ideas may seem an unlikely one, but a very well put together piece nonetheless. If you are a fan of any of these types of stories or just good world-building in general, I strongly recommend this novel to you.

Novel is good and the story is fine for the most part but his upload rate is getting horrendous ngl. The current arc has taken longer than the first 3 arcs put together (not exaggerating). We're lucky to even get 1 chapter every week.

The only "bad" thing about this wonderful work is that the chapter releases are very slow, sometimes the author goes 1 month without releasing new chapters, he explains the reason in the novel's discord, but as a reader, it is very distressing when this happens and, unfortunately, it happens often...
On the other hand, as the author takes time to release new chapters, they are always of high quality. The story grabs you, it makes you want to live in that world with an Oracle on your wrist... Hahahaha...
I recommend it to everyone!

Hello, I am currently around chapter 1000 and I wanted to make a review of the story so far.
First I want to say that I like the story so far, the concept is original and the characters make rational desicions. Their developement is also interseting, for example how jake progressively learn how to open to others and then is progressively influenced by the corruption.
I like the power scaling up to Quanoth, but after that, I find the jake is progressing at a ridiculous speed. During the ordeal, he goes from physical stats around 1000 to stats around 200 000, so 200 times stronger. In comparaison, the year of training before made jake stats multiply by at most 5.
For the romance part, if the female lead is indeed ruby, then I have to say that the fact that she is a digestor is pretty cool, but still, I would have appreciated to see their relashionship evolve a bit faster; they still dislike each other after 1000 chapters !
Finaly, for the 5th ordeal, I like the reintroduction of min ho and amy that we had not seen since the 1rst ordeal, and I hope that we will also see lu Yan and her brother again.
Anyway, this is just my personal oppinion, and I want to say again that I find this story very good. Good Luck !

i dont know how to write a Review so i am just going to write what i want.
In my opinion the charackters can be a bit boring since most women are a either the "cheeky" kind or very oriented towards following Orders.
There are definetly some exceptions but that is generaly what most are.
except for that everything is perfekt.
the writing ist very very good, the plotline maked actuall sence, there is reason behind every Action that is done from any characker.
it is fun to read and does not get boring even in the slower parts.
All in all 10/10

After thirty chapters the story can be summarized one word. Awesome. The apocalypse wasn't sudden, the MC is very relatable, the possible female lead isn't a standard gorgeous beauty with a princess background, but she a caterpillar that can become a butterfly, and the world build so far is rock solid. I hope the author can keep up the quality I have seen so far.

Overall, it is a Great novel, better than any originals being publish here. My only complain is that there's not enough chapters. You can view it as a compliment but also not, as the release of chapters are literally slow.
I guess you can't have everything. We got here a masterpiece of a novel but it's gonna take years before it can get to 2k+ chapters. It's really good, just expect many plot points having no resolution yet.

Can't be firm about anything rn. The authors dictionary is massive and the world building is going nice but then again there's soo much info dump which I ain't remembering anyways except for some major parts. MCs personality so far(47) is rather messed up. Sometimes he acts like a simp, suddenly acts cold and smart and next moment, he turns extra dumb like when he took Amy and Will for absolutely no reason after thinking that he didn't want burdens. Like seriously it's messed up and jumping all around

I have read upto ch 500 and trust me at start this novel was good but as the story progresses it becomes like any other novel where mc is way to strong and doesn't care about other the author could learn from one piece luffy leadership here he just want slaves

If your thinking of reading this I would say if you read until 40 chapters and don't like it then it's not your cup of tea, after the interlude the story is very interesting, but the beginning is slow which I like very much I don't particularly like fast face one's there is a lot of info in the beginning and it gradually gets explained which I like and there is little to no plot holes. Good novel give it a try.

This is no different than those old drama shows that fabricate intricate scenarios just to sustain drama and captivate the audience, keeping them on edge. Also, the dungeon Nexus isn't comparable to Jake losing four years of progression, especially when you consider how much he achieved in just one year. Another thing: why does every character who plays an antagonistic role seem infinitely smarter and more resourceful than the characters we're meant to root for? By now, why is Jake still the same naive, clumsy character he was at the beginning of the story? If the average person went through what Jake has experienced, they would have transformed, becoming almost unrecognizable. Yet somehow, Jake remains stagnant even after 1000+ chapters, with no character development. The same recurring drama, unresolved issues that just keep piling up one after the other. The only reason I continue reading this novel is because of the captivating world and unique powers. Everything else – from progression to logic to character depth – is abysmal. It feels like I'm watching that subpar show, 'Desperate Housewives.' It baffles me how a story can span 1000+ chapters with so little advancement. At this point, being able to write so much filler can be seen as a talent in itself, not to mention the excruciatingly slow release schedule.
